Marilyn Payne

Remembering Marilyn B. Payne:
Our beautiful loving mother, grandmother, and aunt, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2019 in Sandy, Utah, at the age of 85.

Marilyn was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, June 19, 1934, to Irvin & Ruth Bird; she was the second of their 3 children, Irvin, (Marilyn) and Lee Ann.

She was preceded in death by her husband Noel Payne; and her eldest son David M. White. She is survived by 3 of her 4 children: Steve White, Christine White, and Jeff White; also, with 4 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.

Marilyn was a kind, can-do woman with a big heart. She received great joy by helping others, and many benefitted from her generosity and kindness. Marilyn was always keeping herself busy, and enjoyed knitting & crocheting. When friends or family were visiting at her house, she always insisted on giving them a piece of candy from a dish as they were leaving. She will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

Friends & family are invited to attend the graveside service on Monday, August 19, 2019, 11:00 am, at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West. 4100 South, in West Valley City, Utah. Following the service, a light lunch will be provided for family and close friends, at The Church of Jesus Christ-Latter-day Saints on 8600 South 1500 East, Sandy, Utah.
