Marion Viola Giron was called home by our Heavenly Father on January 7, 2021, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was born on March 7, 1932 to Charles Elden Casper and Elsie Wagstaff Casper of Daniels Utah. She was the oldest of four children; Connie Montgomery, Darwin Casper, and Elda Grooms.
She married Kenneth Horrocks and had four children Melaney Jacobsen, Kathy Horrocks, Debra Fulbright, and Kimberley Horrocks. She then married Leopoldo Giron when she lived in Lark, Utah. Marion had three grandchildren: Michelle Jacobsen, Heidi Patterson, and Gary Horrocks and one great-grandchild Matthew Jacobsen, and one great-great-grandchild Jaidyn Jacobsen. Upon Leo’s passing she married Tony Isi. They moved to West Valley City, where she resided the rest of her life.
Everyone knew her as Nana, and she was loved by all. Once you met her you never forgot her. She always thought of others first. Her kindness was felt by many. Marion was the matriarch of our family and her presence and love will be missed by all of us.
She loved spending time with family and friends, crocheting, painting dishtowels, making beaded doilies and word searches. She enjoyed watching game shows and was one of the best cooks. Marion was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved going to church and watching conference.
She is preceded in death by Elden, Elsie, Connie, Darwin, Ken, Leo, Tony, Kathy and Kim.
“Our Nana’s love will never cease; it will reach down to touch us from up above.”
