Marion J Talbot Marion J Talbot passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 29, 2012. He was born in Panguitch, Utah, October 18, 1917 to John M and Olive Pearl Myers Talbot. Marion was deeply loved and respected by all who knew him. He was one of the most honest, intelligent, self-taught men you would ever meet. One of his wishes was to be able to go fishing one last time. Marion was a Master Sargent in the Marine Tank Corps during WWII. He truly loved his family and his country. He was a student of the US Constitution and The Federalist Papers for 50 years. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Norma Dickinson Talbot; 3 sons, Marion Lynn, Gregory J and Woodrow Bryce; daughter, Chauna Pearl Pierce; 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; younger sister, Sara Bean of Provo. Preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers; 1 sister. We wish to commend the George E. Wahlen Veteran s Administration Medical Center and the home-based care team in Salt Lake City for the excellent care he received, especially the doctors and nurses, over the last six years. We firmly believe the VA honored it s promises to our Marine. Graveside services will be held at a later date to be determined upon his wife s recovery from health issues and ability to attend.
