M. Mckay "Mac" LeFevre was born November 5, 1941 in Panguitch, Utah and passed away on October 30, 2018 in West Valley City, Utah. McKay is preceded in death by his parents Marion LeFevre and Maggie Jolley LeFevre; two sisters; and three brothers. He is survived by his wife Marjorie (Rushton) LeFevre; his children Andrea (LeFevre) Armstrong and Bryan (Shelly) LeFevre; his grandchildren Desiree (Brett) Jensen, McKaylee LeFevre, Brede Armstrong, Brett Armstrong and Rylee LeFevre; his great-grandchildren Dax Davis, George Jensen and Eleanor Jensen; and his younger sister. McKay married his high school sweetheart Marge on May 31, 1963 in the Salt Lake LDS temple. Mac was an active member of The Church of Latter-days Saints, served an LDS mission in the Northwestern States mission to include Washington, Oregon and Northern Idaho and held many church callings over the years; his favorite being that of Scout Master. He loved scouting and helping young men achieve their scouting goals. Mac entered the police force with Salt Lake City Police Department in June 1971 and received his Bachelor of Police Science degree from Weber State College in May 1976. He retired in June 1991 after 20 years of dedicated service to and protection of the Salt Lake community. Mac served in the U.S. Army as well as U.S. Air National Guard. Mac had an incredible ability to love people and always look on the bright side of things. He was full of kindness and generosity throughout his life. He was always willing to lend a hand or help others in any way he could. His wife and family were the light of his life; he enjoyed being in their company as well as the company of his extended family and many friends. Mac was a very lovable man and will be greatly missed by all! Funeral services to be held Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the LDS meeting house at 3970 South 5200 West, West Valley City, Utah at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the same location.
