Marivel Elisa Herrera was born on July 13, 2006 in West Valley City, Utah. Our Father decided it was time to call her home on September 03, 2019 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She is survived by her Mom Elisa Michelle Vazquez, Stepdad Gilbert Arredondo, Dad Carlos Herrera, her brothers Carlos, Avien, Ezra, Lorenzo, Dominique, Gabriel, Mari's fur brother Loki, and her big sisters Aujalique and Alexia. She is also survived by her Grandma Bonnie, Grandma Natalie Grandpa Gilbert, Grandma Rosemary and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her Grandpa Harold Herrera, Uncle Mo Vazquez, cousin Kalee Ann and cousin Nathan Bates.
Mari was in 8th Grade and was attending West Jordan Middle School. She loved going to school and she was awarded Most Punctual Student in 7th Grade. Mari was that one student that when she saw someone sitting alone, she always made sure to go sit with them and make sure they were included. She loved dancing with her friends at Fierce Dance Academy and always looked forward to learning new dances and routines. On her 13th birthday she was so happy because she mastered her Arial move and wanted to make sure everyone saw it. She also was awarded the title of Queen for her dance duet.
Mari loved cooking and baking, camping and she loved hanging out with her family, especially her best friend Avayah. But most of all she loved the time she spent with her Mommy. They were always together and created a special bond between mother and daughter that will never be forgotten nor broken. Mari was the brightest light for her family and friends and touched the hearts and souls of so many. She was smart, funny and beautiful and we will all miss her more than words can say.
