Marjorie Alice Jones Henson passed away peacefully on August 29, 2017. She lived to the "young" age of 95. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Thomas John Jones and Catherine Alice Parry Jones on October 28, 1921. She was raised in Bluffdale, Utah. She met her sweetheart, Reid Alfred Henson at a dance. They were married on January 4, 1939 and sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on June 3, 1965. She was an active member of the LDS church and loved serving in the Relief Society. Marjorie was an excellent cook and did not need recipes. She loved the holidays and entertaining her family. She and Reid enjoyed many camping activities with their family, and above all, she was an avid Utah Jazz fan. She is survived by her children, Dean (Dlorah), Tim (Diane), Dixie (Paul Sheppick); son-in-law John Rindy; many granchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Reid; daughter Nancy (Rindy); son LeRoy; parents; her eight siblings; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The family would like to express sincere gratitude to Mother's care givers over the past year to include: Country Care Assisted Living and Horizons Hospice. The caring and kindness shown to our mother and to us will never be forgotten. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 2, 2017, 11:00 a.m., at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where a viewing will be held prior to services from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Interment, Bluffdale City Cemetery, 14229 South Redwood Road.
