Our dear loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Marjorie Keyes Whitesides " Marge", died peacefully surrounded by loved ones in Cottonwood Heights, Utah at the age of 76 after approximately 20 years of health challenges. Marge was born August 2, 1938 in Brigham City, Utah to Theo James and LaVern Reeves Keyes. Later her family moved to Salt Lake City where she attended West High School, was in the Pep Club and enjoyed making many friends. She met the love of her life on July 3, 1952 at a Safeway grocery store. They later married February 1, 1955; marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple December 2 , 1955. They raised six lovely children. She loved bowling, traveling, crocheting, scrap booking, playing games, reading and watching Hallmark movies. She also loved teaching at the Utah State Prison where she earned the honor of "Correctional Educator of the Year" in 1993. She didn't have a judgmental bone in her body and her favorite saying was "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." She was an active member of the LDS Church, holding various positions in Primary, Relief Society, and activities and giving countless hours of service to others. One of her greatest joys was serving a mission with her eternal companion in the Washington State mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (1997-98). She is preceded in death by her son, John Brent; parents, and brother, Bruce Keyes. Survived by loving husband of 60 years, J' Brian; daughters: Sherrill Ann (Dan) Cushing and Jalene (Art) Bassett; sons: J' Brian II (Machee'), Brad James (LaWana), Blair Kent (Crista); and brother, Randy Johns (Stephanie) Keyes; 21 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren.
