Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend ended her battle with cancer on April 28, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. She is now out of pain and at peace.
Marriett was born on December 19, 1942 to loving parents Ross Angus and Dora Carter Talbot. She married Clair D. Porter and together they had two daughters Debbie and Julie. He preceded her in death. She married Owen Dee Speth and together they had two children Heather Dee and Jason Scott. He preceded her in death. She met and spent several years with Lynn Anderson, he preceded her in death. She has nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
She loved quilting, camping and gardening. She also had the most beautiful Christmas trees. Spending time with family was very important to her and her greatest love was her family.
She leaves behind her siblings Virginia Talbot of Preston, ID, Ross Jr. (Barbara) Talbot of Smithfield UT, Valerie (Dan) Herzog of Nibley, UT, Carter (Eliza) Talbot of Logan, UT and Steven (Jill) Talbot of West Jordan, UT; her children Debbie (Ron) Ferrell of Magna, UT, Julie (Skeet) Porter of Tooele, UT, Heather (Dustan) Barker of West Valley, UT and Jason (Jacklyn) Speth of Tooele, UT.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jesse A. Talbot.
A viewing will be held at McDougal Funeral Home located at 4330 South Redwood Road Taylorsville, UT 84123, on Friday, May 10, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. A graveside service will be held at the Preston Cemetery, Preston, Idaho, on Saturday May 11, 2019 at 1:00 pm.
