Mary Ann Hoffman Talbot, age 82, peacefully passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024, surrounded by her family in South Jordan, Utah. She was born December 2, 1941, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Clifford and LauMar Hoffman. Mary Ann, the second among six siblings, cherished and cared for her brothers and sisters, Gayle, Tom, Jane, Bob, and Kathleen.
On October 19, 1962, Mary Ann married Blen Flinders Talbot for time and all eternity in the Logan, Utah Temple. They were devoted to each other and shared 61 wonderful years of marriage. They were blessed with four children: Jeff (Jennie) Talbot, Karen (Chris) Mecham, Bonnie (Daniel) Mason, Blenda (Doug) Darton. They have nine grandchildren: Austin (Ashley) Mason, Ashli (Dalton) Winegar, Justin (Kaite) Talbot, Jaden (Sarah) Talbot, Wesley Darton, Paden (Makayla) Mecham, Jarron Talbot, Preston (Kylee) Darton, Megan (Tyson) Conrad, nine great-grandsons with one great-granddaughter on the way.
Mary Ann graduated from West High in 1960, where she formed enduring friendships. She and her group of friends met monthly for "Club" and supported each other over the years. Mary Ann was raised with a strong work ethic, which carried over into her career journey, including Glendale Market, Beneficial Life, and Smith's Food & Drug. She was passionate about DIY projects from masonry work to sewing, canning, gardening, and upholstery. Mary Ann passed along this work ethic, sense of responsibility and generosity to her posterity.
Together, Mary Ann and Blen created many cherished family traditions and memories. They loved taking family camping trips and celebrating holidays. Mary Ann enjoyed playing and coaching sports as well as supporting her children and grandchildren in their athletic pursuits.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to their ward and branch members for their loving service throughout their lives. They would also like to thank all the compassionate caregivers at Copper Creek Assisted Living Center, including the hospice team.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Morningside Ward, 1555 W. Lovely Road, Taylorsville, Utah. Viewing services will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024, at McDougal Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah, and again Saturday 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the Church.
Interment will follow at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South, Salt Lake City, Utah.
