Dancing Together Again Mary Christensen Wilcock, our loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother and friend, age 94, returned to her Heavenly Father and her loving husband, on March 21, 2016. She passed away peacefully of natural causes incident to old age. Mary was born November 4, 1921, to Peter D. Christensen and Grace B. King Christensen in Brigham City, Utah. She was the eighth of ten children who learned the value of hard work in the family orchards and garden. They sang in the parlor, listened to radio programs and loved to dance around the house. She graduated from Box Elder High in 1939. Mary moved to Salt Lake to be a housekeeper and help with social parties for a prominent family. She later worked at Eitel McCullough making radio tubes during the war. A favorite thing on Thursday night was to go dancing with her girlfriends at the Coconut Grove. That is where Mary met her sweetheart, Kenneth "Kelly" Wilcock. Mary and Kelly were married November 22, 1944, in Baltimore, Maryland, and later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Mary was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day Saints, serving many years in the Primary and Relief Society organizations. She served with her husband as stake dance directors, in the SLCC and Golden Living Center branches and as workers at the Salt Lake and Jordan River Temples for many years. Mary and Kelly worked hard, danced when they could, served others and traveled. Survived by her children, Richard (Mar Jene) of Taylorsville, Clair (Barbie) of Las Vegas, Karen (Dan) Telford of Draper, Kelly of West Valley City, Tamra (Jeffrey) Koch of Sandy, and Christy of Mesa; 22 grandchildren, and 58 great-grandchildren, with two on the way.
