Mary Lou Brown

September 27, 1927 — January 31, 2018

Mary Lou Ferguson Brown, known to her family as Nana, passed away on January 31, 2018. She decided to check out and reunite with the love of her life, Bob. She was born on September 27, 1927, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Frank H. and Mildred T. Ferguson. She met Bob when they were in the 8th grade, then got married in 1946 and were married for 65 years. Mary Lou loved to dance, play golf, and work in the garden. She and Bob were members of the Hi-Steppers Dance Club and forged many life-long friendships. She spent countless hours in the garden perfecting her yard, and was known for moving, removing, and planting more trees and shrubs than anyone. Her goal in life was to make everyone laugh at her dirty jokes and show them her kitty tattoo! She was preceded in death by her husband Bob Brown; her sister, Elaine Merrell; and her parents. She is survived by her children Bob and BJ Brown, Debbie and Mo Salti, and Carrie and Paul Barker; her grandchildren Scotty Brown and Kristen Rich, Erica Salti, and Zak Salti; and her great-grandchildren Dylan and Shaunie Brown, Kylee Brown, and Kohyn Brown. Also survived by Faye Grover, Frank Ferguson and Lucille Stoddard, and Shirl Merrell. A special thank you goes out to Dr. Holland, Jenn, Shalee, Nate, Mark, and Laura for taking care of her. Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Sunday, February 11th from 4-7 p.m. at the Old Mill Golf Club, 6080 S Wasatch Blvd in Salt Lake City. Arrangements under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home. Place of Birth:Salt Lake City, UtahPlace of Death:Millcreek, Utah
