Mary Martinez

Our beloved wife, and mother, Mary Agnes Martinez joined hands with the Lord on her final life journey after struggling with declining health on June 27, 2024. Born October 24, 1938, in Bingham, Utah. Daughter of Filimon Padilla, and Mary Virginia Garcia. Preceded in death by siblings, Johnny Padilla, Romey Harris, Maria Elena Padilla, Linda Prickett, and survived by Larry Padilla, Del Padilla, and Ronald Padilla.

She was a wonderful woman and will be missed by her entire family that she and her husband Albert Eliseo Martinez of 65 years shared together. They married on February 8, 1958. Mom was a true wonder woman to all. She was strong, witty, and always had a great one liner you never knew was coming, and she said it anyway, whether you liked it or not. She loved her children, Audrey (Greg) Powell, Tony (Tisha) Martinez, Ted (Gayle Padgett) Martinez, Chris Martinez, Richard (Staci) Martinez, and Thomas Martinez.

She was also an amazing grandmother of twelve grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Everyone knew that her home was a home, even if you did not have a home. She was a perfect example of a mother who was the guiding light for her family and will be missed by all of us.

As incredible as she was being a wife, mother, and grandmother to us, she also led an accomplished professional life in the Credit Financial field. She was a member of the Credit Women's International Club and had earned several awards for being an outstanding Customer Service Professional. Yes, she was truly amazing to all. "Miss you always, mama!"

Join us as we celebrate her life in peace and love on Friday, July 5, 2024, at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church. Rosary begins at 10:30 AM, with Mass beginning at 11:00 AM. A public viewing will being at 10:00 AM the same day, also at the Catholic Church.
