Mary Rita Shellenberger

Mary Rita Shellenberger, 86, of Murray, Utah, passed away on September 23, 2016 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mary was born December 24, 1929 in Murray, Utah to Floyd Henry Shellenberger and Mary Elva Crompton Shellenberger. Mary was the middle child, nestled between two brothers: Lloyd Henry Shellenberger and Herman Alvie (Alva) Shellenberger. Mary worked for years at the Salt Lake Donut Shop where she gained a love for recipes and baking. Mary enjoyed people and loved to spend time with good friends. She was rarely self-indulgent, but she never scrimped on generosity to her friends and family, as they were most important to her. They will miss her willful personality and wry sense of humor. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and brothers. She is survived by her nephews, niece, and many loving friends. Services will be on Thursday, September 29, 2016. There will be a viewing at 10:00am at the McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Rd., Salt Lake City. A graveside service will be held at 11:30am at the Murray City Cemetery, 5490 S Vine St, Murray, UT. Place of Birth:Murray, Utah
