Matthais Lewis Harting

Matthais Lewis Harting passed away April 18, 2016, surrounded by his family and friends. He was 83 years old. Matt was born October 6, 1933. He joined the Air Force when he was 17 and served in France during the Korean War. He married his childhood sweetheart, Elaine, December 18, 1952. They were married for 64 years. They have 7 children, 20 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Matt was a commercial electrician, an avid reader and loved political mysteries. He also had quite a sweet tooth. Matt was a man of principle, an example of strength, integrity and love to all those who knew him. He was a caretaker to his family and always put other's needs before his own. We will miss him.
