Maxine Perry, age 78, of Kearns, Utah, passed away July 2, 2016, in Murray, after a long battle with Lymphatic Cancer. She was born March 17, 1938, in Groveland, Idaho. She was active in the LDS Church and served in many callings including Relief Society and Primary President. She loved teaching school and primary. She enjoyed the 33 years she spent as an Avon representative where she received many awards and honors. Beloved mother and grandmother, her greatest love and accomplishment was her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buford Leon Perry, Sr.; son, Leon Jr.; parents, Ellis Marion and Leola Barrus Perry; and siblings, Jon, Dan, Faye, and Marion. She is survived by her daughters, Julia Higley, Sherrie Lyn Perry, and Becky Maxine Goldsmith; son, Timothy (Cynthia) Perry; many beloved grandchildren; siblings, Ann Archuletta, Gayle Perry, Dean (Peggy) Perry, Ida (Hunter) Hale, Claron (Evelyn) Perry, Rodney Perry, Mary Jane (Don) Milham, Margaret (Rob) Bush and Laurie Ruiz; and nieces and nephews galore. A viewing will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m., followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 9, at the LDS Church located at 5905 South 4000 West. A second viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 8, at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, in Taylorsville. Interment -Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 West 4100 South.
