Michael Dean Sampson

Michael D. Sampson A Gentleman and a Scholar Michael Dean Sampson, 63, passed away October 24, 2012 in West Jordan, Utah of natural causes. Born September 6, 1949 in Salt Lake City, Utah, son of Boyd Lorenzo and Phyllis Moulton Sampson. Mike attended East High School where he made many life-long friends and played football and baseball. He graduated from the University of Utah and was a true Utah man . He was a loving husband to Lanea Green and a proud father to Haley (Danny) Hill and Steph (Andrew) Christensen. Mike was an active member of the LDS Church and could be found spending time with his family, watching Utah football and enjoying the outdoors. Preceded in death by his 3 brothers, Merrill (Deborah) Sampson, Stephen Sampson, Gordon (Sandy) Sampson; and his father. Survived by wife, daughters, mother, and sister Christy Olsen. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 29, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at the Mountain View 3rd Ward, 8435 South 2700 West. Viewings will be held Sunday, 6-7:30 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Monday at the church, 9:30-10:40 a.m. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens. Hobbies:Spending time with family; watching Utah footbal and being in the outdoors
