Miriam (Mamie) Noyes

Miriam Jaquetta (Mamie) Noyes passed peacefully away in her home on January 7, 2024.

Mamie was born in Huntington, Utah to John Darwin Mangum and Leola MaryAnn Grange on March 16, 1929. She graduated from North Emery High. She married Hyrum Wells Noyes on December 3, 1949. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Jordan River Temple on August 21, 1996. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having served a 3-year mission at the Bishop's Store House in Magna, Utah.

Mom did beautiful embroidery work that would sell for great amounts at our family auctions. She also enjoyed crocheting and doing word search puzzles. One of her favorite past times was beating her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren at playing King's Corners and Go Fish.

Mom will be remembered for her pinto beans, homemade bread, and macaroni salad.

She is survived by 3 of her children Keith (Laura), Jackie Moore, and Cathy Johnson, her sister Carol (Bob) Norton, her brother Monty (Marcia) Mangum, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by both her parents, her husband Wells, her son Frank Noyes, grandchildren Benjamin Johnson, Michael Noyes, Micaela Johnson, Sean Moore, and great-granddaughter Isabella Todd.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024, at 11:00 AM at McDougal Funeral Home located at 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah. Interment will be at Valley View Memorial Park located at 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah.

There will be a public viewing on Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 6 to 8 PM and another Friday, January 12, 2024 from 10-10:45 AM, both at McDougal Funeral Home.
