Our loving father, grandfather, great grandfather & brother, Whit, 87 passed away on December 13, 2013 at home in Kearns, Utah with his family by his side. He was born October 4, 1926 in Garfield, Utah to Earl Curle Whittaker and Laura Dimick Whittaker. His mother died when he was 4 years old and was raised by his stepmother, Edith Whittaker. Whit married LyRene Hansen on November 20, 1948. He was the father of 4 children, 8 grandchildren & 18 great grandchildren. Whit loved to get together with the family and go camping and target shooting in his earlier years. He worked for Kennecott for 40 years. He was a Veteran of WW II. Survived by sons: Earl (Margo) Whittaker; Paul (Teri) Whittaker; daughter Jena (Ed) Steinmann; sister Marie Youd. Preceded in death by parents; 4 sisters; wife LyRene, & daughter Tami. At Whits request there will be a graveside service on Monday, December 16, 2013, 2:00 p.m. at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South.
