Myrna Grace Coates Baumann

August 13, 1937 — May 11, 2016

Myrna was born in Salt Lake City to John LeRoy Coates and Naomi Elsie Woldberg. She married Donald Rudolph Baumann on February 9, 1956 in the Salt Lake Temple. Myrna had a great love for music. She directed many church road shows, plays and musicals. During her life she taught and influenced numerous people, including children, with her love and knowledge of music. Those she taught loved her and followed the example she set. Myrna was an avid Ute fan. She had an endless love for her family, friends and her country. Myrna was a valiant servant of our Heavenly Father. Myrna is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Donald Rudolph Baumann; her children: Steven (Sherri), David (Mindi), Matt (Janiece), Linda (Kevin) and Dianne (Gary); 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; uncle, Jack Woldberg, brother, Jeff Coates; and sister, Nancy Kilpatrick. Proceeded in death by her son, Donald Russel Baumann; her parents, sisters, Jeannene Jones and Barbara Thompson Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 17, 11:00 a.m., at the Taylorsville 4th Ward, 4310 South 3200 West. Viewings will be held Monday, May 16th, 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. At McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Tuesday at the church, 9:30 - 10:40 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity/organization.
