N. Renee Worsley, 70, beloved wife, mother, grammy, great-grandma, aunt, sister and friend passed away surrounded by family on December 3, 2018 in Murray, UT due to complications from a stroke. Renee was born on July 21, 1948 in Salt Lake City, UT to Russell and Lorraine Pettet.
She married her eternal companion and love of her life William Worsley on September 3, 1971 in the Salt Lake City Temple.
She is survived by her husband Bill; sons: Warren (Shawnee), Thayne (Patricia) and daughter Jessica (Ricardo) Fortmuller; as well as 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and 6 siblings, Sharon Conrad, Elaine Johnson, Eileen Pettet , Russell Pettet, Sally Heckendorn and Jody Pettet. She is preceded in death by her father; mother; and sister, Darlene Pettet.
One of Renee’s greatest loves was having her grandchildren around. She also loved knitting and going bowling with her friends every Tuesday. She loved to go on cruises, travel with her husband and going on trips with her grandkids. Christmas was Renee’s favorite time of the year. She would listen to Christmas music and watch Christmas movies all year long.
Renee was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in various callings. She loved teaching Primary.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 7, 11:00 am at the Parkway 2nd Ward building, 3407 West 9625 South, South Jordan. Friends and family may visit Thursday, December 6th, from 6-8:00 pm at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and Friday at the church from 10-10:30 am. Interment will follow the funeral at the Murray City Cemetery.
