Nadine Rachel Ovenden

Nadine Rachel Ovenden, of Taylorsville, passed away peacefully July 1, surrounded by family. She was born in Malad, Idaho, Sept. 8, 1926, to Margery Jones and Ralph Williams. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald A. Ovenden, whom she married Sept.18,1948, in Rochester, N.Y.; brother, Eugene Williams; and sister, Delaine Archibald. She retired from J.C. Penney after 25 years of dedicated service. She looked forward to visits from her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed her exercise class three times a week with her friends she loved and who always supported her. She is survived by three children, Michael (Lori) Ovenden, Steven (Becky) Ovenden, and Kathleen (Dean) Corwell; eight grandchildren;19 great-grandchildren; sister, Shelba Tingley; and brother, John Williams. We appreciate the care she received at the assisted living facility and the love and support from everyone at Brighton Home Health Care. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 E. 4580 S., in Millcreek. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.
