Naomi Margarete Erickson, age 94, passed away June 6, 2014. She was born and raised in Spring Canyon, Carbon County, Utah. Her parents were Ares Brown Gammell and Margaret Telula Nelson. She had two sisters, Darlene Wilcox (Henry) and Elaine Rowe (Francis). She graduated from nursing school and worked at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City where she met the love of her life, Franklin Albert Erickson, who preceded her in death after more than 50 years of marriage. Later in life, she worked for the Red Cross and traveled throughout the state of Utah doing blood drives. She loved dogs, liked to crochet and collected clocks. Naomi was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many callings in Primary, Relief Society and Young Women. Frank and Naomi served a mission in the Provo, Utah Temple. Frank and Naomi have four sons, Robert (Jean), Franklin Vern (Paulette), Michael (deceased), and Dan (Shirley). She has nine grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
