Naulon Francis Eades

Our father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, Naulon Francis Eades died at his son’s home in Midvale, Utah on April 14, 2019 just one day before his 94th birthday.

Al was born in Granbury, Texas on April 15, 1925 to Walter Clyde and Mary Emma Ratliff Eades. He served in the US Navy during WWII as a Petty Officer 2nd class. He married Alma Gilbert on July 24, 1947 and Vaudean Hambright Smith in November 2006.

He, along with his wife Alma, owned and operated the Eskimo Museum and Gift Shop in Fairbanks, Alaska. He worked for Pan American World Airways and as a carpenter. After retiring from Pan Am, he and Alma traveled around the world and had many adventures. He lived in Texas, Washington, Alaska, Arizona and Utah during his lifetime.

Survived by his son Guy W. (Gayle); grandchildren: Eric H. (Shelly), Kurt W. (Amanda), Joshua C. (Chelsie) and Alicia K. (Mike); 10 great-grandchildren; and nieces Cathy and Veda Mackenzie.

Preceded in death his spouses; parents; brothers James Walter and Elmo; sisters Katie Marie Knox and Mildred Mackenzie.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 27th, 11:00 a.m. at the Union Park 5th Ward, 7699 South Chad Street (800 East), Midvale, Utah. Friends and family may visit with the family prior to the services from 10-10:45 a.m.

Graveside services will be held at Deseret Lawn Memorial Park, 1401 South Union Street, Kennewick, Washington.

The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and CNS Hospice staff who cared for dad with concern and loving, tender care during his final years.
