Ora Simmons Morrill

Ora Simmons Morrill 1917 ~ 2012 Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, Ora Simmons Morrill, age 95 passed away November 13, 2012 at her daughter s home. Born September 22, 1917 in Roosevelt, Utah to George Edward and Elsie Fern Marrott Simmons. She married Verlan Wayne Morrill on July 2, 1935. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Ora was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in numerous callings. She loved hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, painting, crocheting, and music. Survived by her children: Verlan (Darla), Shirl (Deborah), Leora (Harold) Coombs, Carol (Phil) Windley, David Morrill; 24 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren. Also brothers; Farrell, Orvin, Merlyn, and Leon Simmons; sisters, Lula Holt and Verrena Prescott. Preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; siblings: Evelyn Swarts, Ardella West, Donald Simmons and Elvis Simmons. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 17, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. A viewing will be held from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
