Orlene Yaussi Lund, 89, passed away on September 16, 2023 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Orlene was born in Preston, Idaho, to Ernest Yaussi (Jaussi) and Reva Emmaline Lewis. She attended Preston High School. She married Ernest Lund in 1955, and they later divorced. She raised two daughters, Rhonda and Tammy, and then selflessly went on to raise 3 grandkids after her daughter, Tammy, passed away. She devoted her entire life to being the most wonderful and caring mom, grandma, and "great"-grandma.
Orlene was very active in the LDS church and held many positions in her ward (Granger 15th Ward). After she retired from Smith's Food & Drug as a dedicated employee of 27 years, she spent her time volunteering at the Jordan River Temple. Her faith, family, and friends were most important in her life. Orlene loved getting together with her 3 sisters to eat lunch, shop, play cards, and eat candy (and they would not share the candy with their kids!). She loved her chocolate and definitely thought it was one of the food groups. Orlene also loved to talk. If you ever talked to her on the phone, you know you needed at least an hour.
Orlene was predeceased by her parents Ernest and Reva, 3 older sisters, Thelma, Verla, and Nathel, and daughter Tammy. She is survived by her daughter Rhonda Lund Wahner (Jeff), 6 grandkids, and 10 great-grandkids who lovingly refer to her as "Great".
