Patricia Ann Alsop Helms

Patricia Ann Alsop Helms of West Valley City, Utah passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 10, 2024.

Patty was born on December 17, 1951 to Iven and Alice Alsop in Tooele, Utah. She graduated from Granger High School in 1970, and later studied at LDS Business College.

Patty married Michael Sadler in 1970 (divorced). She later married Shawn Hill (deceased). She had 5 children, Kimberly Truxell (Will), Jennifer Sadler,

Joshua Hill (deceased), Jason Hill, and Shane Hill (Kristen).

For many years, Patty enjoyed her work and friends at a global nonprofit humanitarian organization.

Patty was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Despite many life challenges, she remained faithful to her testimony of the Savior.

Patty was a friend to everyone she met. She had a big and happy personality that could fill any room. Patty was a talented singer and musician; she loved to sing and had a beautiful singing voice. Having never taken music lessons, she could play piano and violin by ear.

She is survived by her four children and sister Michele Lively (Robert). She had eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents (Iven and Alice), her husband (Shawn) and her son (Joshua).

Funeral services will be held on Thursday October 17, 2024 at noon at the Granger Ward, 2850 West 3835 South, West Valley City, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral service from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m.

Interment at the Sandy City cemetery.
