Paul Edward Reiser

Paul E. Reiser 1923 ~ 2011 Paul Edward Reiser, 87, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, June 6, 2011. He was born October 15, 1923 in Salt Lake City, Utah to David and Nellie Jacobsen Reiser and was the youngest of five children. He graduated from East High School. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corp and was stationed in the Pacific on Iwo Jima during WWII. Worked for Brown s Distributing selling wholesale furniture and carpet. After retiring from Brown s he worked for Ferry Morse Seed Company and McDougal Funeral Home. He married Ruth Smith Reiser June 27, 1962 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They had two children, Kim and Ric. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as Bishop, High Councilor, in the Stake Sunday School and in the Jordan River Temple. He is survived by his children, Kim (Greg) Rasmussen, Ric (Amy) Reiser; grandchildren: Jennifer, Mackenzie, Brandt, Tommy and Dylan. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 11, 2011, 11:00 am at the Taylorsville 24th Ward, 2976 West 4270 South, West Valley City. Viewings will be held Friday, June 10, 2011, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Saturday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
