Paul LeRoy Slack

The much beloved patriarch of our family has returned home to his Father in Heaven. He passed away September 19, 2016 at home, age 80. Paul LeRoy Slack was born on August 16, 1936 in Toquerville, Utah to Augustus Paul and Minnie Platt Slack. He married Verdean Williams on April 15, 1958 in the Manti Temple. They are parents to Dale, Paula, Kyle and Bryan. He served in the U.S. Army 1st Brigade of the 8th Cavalry. Longtime member of the Kearns 4th Ward and served in numerous callings including finance clerk and bishop. Survived by his wife and best friend Verdean; children: Dale (Jo Leen), Paula, Bryan (Penny); daughter-in-law Jill Pearson; sister Lorraine Condie; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his son Kyle, parents and sister Edith Albanez. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 24, 2016, 12:00 noon, at Kearns 4th Ward, 4232 West 5015 South, Kearns, Utah. Viewings will be held Friday, September 23rd, 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and again Saturday prior to services at the church from 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South.
