On January 5, 2017, Peggy, who suffered from a brain tumor, passed away into the waiting embrace of our Savior. Peggy was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in the New York, New York Mission from 1984-1985. Though Peggy did not have children of her own, she had a true mother-heart and touched the lives of many children. Besides lovingly caring for her relatives, she served children as the Primary President several times in her life, was a fantastic nanny to 31 children, and foster parent to six children. She cherished her relationships and the time she was able to spend with friends and family. Peggy met the challenges of her life with a positive attitude. Her sense of humor made the hard times easier for everyone around her. Her faith was powerful and her courage was comforting. While we will miss having her as part of our lives here, we are happy that she finally gets to be reunited with her beloved husband. She is survived by her parents Dennis Keith and Mary Beth; brothers, Denny (Melinda), Dave (Dana), Terry (Lisa); sister Penny (George) Fairbanks, step-children Rachel, Rebekah, Sarah (Gary) Schvaneveldt and John Andrew (Kristina); grandchildren Deacon, Victor, Gideon, and Savannah; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and one great-niece. She is preceded in death by her grandparents; an aunt; two uncles; and her husband John Victor Pearson. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 10th, 12:30 p.m., at the Salt Lake Little Cottonwood 14th Ward, 1160 E. Vine Street, Salt Lake City, UT. A viewing will be held Monday evening, January 9th from 6-8:00 p.m. at the same church. There will be no viewing the day of the funeral.
