Phyllis Bingham Denkers

April 17, 1930 — February 10, 2017

Our dear mother, grandmother, aunt and friend passed away on February 10, 2017. She was born on April 17, 1930 to Edwin A. and Martha Erickson Bingham in Ogden, Utah. She graduated from Ogden High School in 1948, and began working as a stenographer. She moved to San Francisco and lived there for several years. She made many friends and developed her musical talents. Phyllis returned to Salt Lake City where she met and married Jerry Denkers in the Salt Lake City Temple on April 10, 1959. Phyllis was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings including: Relief Society, Primary, Young Women's, and as ward chorister for over twenty years. However, her favorite calling was working in the Jordan River Temple as an ordinance worker for ten years. She will be remembered for her musical talents and kindness and compassion for everyone. She is survived by her children: Pamela (Jeff), Blake (Kim), Paul (Michele); and three grandchildren: Eric Draper, Kellen Denkers, Peyton Denkers. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 16, 2017, 11:00 a.m., at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where a viewing will be held from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Wasatch Lawn.
