Phyllis was born in Perrysburg, Ohio to James and Iva Stemen. She loved her small home town community and raised her 4 children there where everyone knew your name. She moved to Salt Lake City in 1975. She loved the Lord with all her heart and was a beautiful example of the "Gospel of Love" to everyone she ever met. One of her most cherished accomplishments, other than being a wife, mother and grandmother, was being a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir for 12 years. Her start in the Performance Arts was with the "Suburban Singers: in Perrysburg and her last performances were with her 4 generation family Orchestra "The Love Notes" She left her family a legacy of LOVE, music, art, and of course her spirituality. She was the epitome of a Kool-aide mom! She absolutely loved gardening in Logan with her sweetheart Mike, and you could always hear her humming happily as she went about her day. She never met a stranger! She was a dancer, singer, artist, avid reader, self-taught, piano player, seamstress, sailor, and a lover of chocolate. She was also a skilled game playerany kind of games! She was a proud American! She was a die-hard BYU fan. She considered it an honor to serve in a multitude of church callings, her favorites being Choir Director and a Relief Society "girl". She liked to spend time near the water especially at Clear Lake in Indiana and later at Bear Lake in Utah. She was preceded into Heaven by her daughter Beverly Ann (Mossing) Welsh; and her two grandsons Taylor and Todd Mossing. She is survived by her husband R. Michael Farrell; her son Mark L Mossing; daughters Pamela S (Mossing) Tillman, Dee Dee (Mossing) Bay (Kevin); step children: Michael Farrell, Alan Farrell (Biz), Melanie Colton (Brad), Eric Farrell (Kate); 20 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
