Rachel Anne Bissell Busch

August 25, 1974 — April 2, 2018

Rachel was born in the Price Hospital on her grandmothers, Florence Laura Shandel's birthday. Rachel's first birthday was spent with her grandmother. At the beginning of school, the decision was made to place her in special education. One year later, she was back in regular classes. Prior to the age 8, she was involved in the 4-H program. There was a program for junior aged children to participate in. Even though the program called for juniors getting a participation ribbon, her entry received a blue ribbon. When Rachel was in the third grade, she desired to join the Girl Scouts. There were no Girl Scouts in the area. So, her father volunteered and for the next 9 years, she had her father as a leader. As her scouting experience came to an end, she was one project short of the Gold award (highest in the Girl Scout program). At the age of 17, she earned her Young Women's medallion. From 1995 - 1996, Rachel served an honorable LDS mission in the Missouri Independence Mission. She received a BA in Home Economics from Southern Utah University She loved others and this was reflected in her choice of work, and her devotion to serving in many LDS church positions. She enjoyed helping people who had disabilities, those who had serious injuries, and especially children. She is survived by her parents, Richard Ray Bissell & Edna May (Mills) Bissell;husband, Samuel Hal Busch; her sister, Rebekah (Bissell) Gallucci and loving friends and family.
