Ralph Rolland Brown

Ralph Rolland Brown was born July 8, 1930, in Provo, UT. He passed away at home in Salt Lake City, UT on March 15, 2016, at the age of 85. He was the son of Ray Dean Brown and Violet Altha Shoell Brown. Ralph attended Provo City schools. He graduated from Provo High School in 1949. After high school, Ralph did not serve an LDS mission due to a very prestigious and honorable military service. He proudly served in the Korean War with the 1st Calvary Division. While overseas, Ralph would write letters back home to his dearest and beloved Marilyn. Upon returning home, Ralph and Marilyn were married and sealed for all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple on May 15, 1953. Ralph had been employed by Standard Stations before the war and started working with them again when he returned home. While working for Standard Stations he decided to open his own Chevron station that proved to be very successful. Ralph eventually sold the Chevron and started work with Safeway Dairies. Ralph retired from Meadow Gold Dairies. This allowed him to spend his later years with the love of his life. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Brown; sisters, June B. Swidrack (John-deceased), Fay Ann Brown Harding (Gayden), Mary Ann Brown Bee (Jan); brother, Larry P. Brown (Eleanor); sons, Stephen Brown (Kimberly), Craig Brown; daughter, Karen Brown Haskell (Stephen); 13 grandchildren and spouses; 27 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by parents; 5 sisters; and 2 brothers. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 19, 11:00 a.m., at Millcreek 2nd Ward, 4220 South 420 East, where viewings will be held Friday, March 18th, 6-8:00 p.m. and Saturday, prior to services, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Mountain View Memorial Estates.
