Ray LaVille Denison

Born in Royal, Carbon County, UT March 24, 1931 to Raymond and Melba Denison, he died at home, in Taylorsville, UT, December 21, 2014 surrounded by family. Ray loved his early life with countless friends in the coal mining camps of Carbon County. Married Bette Burgess November 27, 1954 in Coeur d'Alene, ID and later sealed in the Salt lake Temple. A faithful member of the LDS Church, Ray served three missions at the Family History Library. He loved the indexing program and personally indexed more than half a million names. Ray also loved telling stories of his ancestors. Served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. Later worked at Tooele Army Depot. He was able to travel the world with his involvement in the Hercules Missile program. Survivors: his beloved wife, Bette; children: Tonia (Nate) McCall, Lori (Brent) Johnston, Rick Denison, Michael (Angie) Denison, Thomas (Stacey) Denison and Cara Stewart; 16 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Dean (Erline) Denison; sisters, Darlene Thayer and VaLynne (Gerald) Thompson. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 27, 2014, 12:00 noon at the Taylorsville 1st Ward, 4845 S. Woodhaven Dr. (1335-1365 W.). Viewings will be held Friday, December 26, 2014, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Saturday at the church, 11-11:45 a.m. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
