Raymond Andersen, age 69, of South Jordan, passed away April 22 after a 15 month battle with cancer. Raymond was born October 20, 1945, in Salt Lake City to Otto Willy and Lilly Venema Andersen. He married Nancy Sue Bolton on June 14, 1974 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Raymond graduated from East High School in 1964, and attended Weber State. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Central States LDS Mission. He served as a veil worker in the Salt Lake Temple as well as various callings in the Forest Dale Ward in Sugarhouse and the South Jordan 6th Ward. He loved playing golf, gardening and remodeling, but most of all he loved his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; children, Amy (Daryl) Glazier, Springville; Treber (Traci) Andersen, Magna; Lane (Gar-Yin) Andersen, San Ramon, CA. He is also survived by grandchildren, Madisyn, Ashlyn, Tyler, Ryan and Dylan Glazier; Brayden and Evelyn Andersen; Noah Andersen. Also survived by brothers George, John (Peggy), Michael, David (Susan) Andersen and sister, Kathryn (Stephen) Franc and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 28, 2015, 12:00 noon at the South Jordan 6th Ward, 2550 West 9800 South. Viewings will be held Monday, 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Tuesday, 10:30-11:45 at the church prior to the funeral service. Interment: South Jordan City Cemetery.
