Rebecca Anne McGarr Crowder "Becky"

Loving Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, and Friend. Becky was born February 19th, 1959 in Portola, California to Robert (Bob) and Wandalee McGarr. She married Robert Nalder Crowder in the Salt Lake Temple February 24th 1987. She returned to the arms of her loving Father in Heaven on October 29th, 2016, at her home in South Jordan Utah surrounded by her loving husband and family. She is survived by her husband and father (Betty Jo), BrothersJoel (Vera), Jim (Erika) and Kelly McGarrnieces and nephews, and five sonsDaniel, Aaron (Mekenzie), Josh (Allison), Sam, and Ben. She is also survived by two granddaughtersEvelyn Faye and Ruby June Crowderand mother-in-lawLynne Pedersen Crowderbrother-in-lawDavid Crowderand sister-in-lawRebecca Cantwell. Preceded in death by her mother and father-in-lawGerald F. Crowder. Becky's life was filled with loving, serving, and caring for others. She was selfless in her dedication and service to others. She served as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Buenos Aires, Argentina from 1980-1981. Throughout her life she always took comfort in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Before her mission, Becky attended Brigham Young University for 3 years and later finished her B.A. online through Excelsior College. After her mission, she moved to the Bay Area to work where she would meet her future husband. Some of her greatest joys in life were serving in the home as a wife and mother. She was a skilled teacher and home schooled her sons, taking great pride in their successes. Becky had a love and talent for baking (her cinnamon rolls are famous!). On the rare occasion that she had a moment to herself, you would often find her relaxing with a good book in hand. The thing she looked forward to most was traveling. Her trips to England with Bob were some of her most cherished memories. We will miss her subtle and mischievous sense of humor. We will miss her intuition and always knowing the right things to say at the right time. We love you Bec. God be with you til we meet again. A public viewing will be held Friday evening at McDougal Funeral Home (4330 S Redwood Rd Taylorsville, Utah) from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 5th, 11:00 a.m., at the Oquirrh Lake 8th LDS Ward (4842 W Vermillion Dr South Jordan, Utah 84008) with a viewing from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
