The man. The myth. The legend. Richard Dale Adams age 72 passed away the 13th of November 2018 at Sunridge Assisted Living Center, West Jordan, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parent's Dale & Lenna Adams (Wilson) He was also preceded in death by his wife Terry McGowan (November 2nd, 2016) and his granddaughter Trinity Melinda Adams (September 16, 2001). Richard loved the ladies. He got married at an early age, which resulted in his four children. When that didn't last, he was no quitter, and went on to marry 3 more times! He is survived by his four children. Carianne Adams, Cassandra Sue Adams-Luce, Kathryn Adams-Davis and Richard Barrett Michael Adams. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He won Father of the Year (every year) as evidenced by his numerous father's day mugs & ties. In his younger days Richard attended Porterville High School participating in wrestling, basketball and football. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and loved to go camping with his family. Right after high school Richard served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the British mission. He loved telling anyone who would listen stories from his mission. He was very dedicated in his service in his church, serving in multiple areas, working and teaching the youth is where he shined! He especially loved being a seminary teacher and working with the Boy Scouts of America program. While living in Porterville he owned The Shoe Tree on main street and later Sunnybrook Farms health food and produce store. Richard loved M*A*S*H and Blazing Saddles. He enjoyed telling stories and you could be sure 50% of his stories were true. You just never knew which parts. Richard was always very humorous throwing around his wit and sarcasm like confetti. He loved being silly and his was always the loudest laughter in the room. He loved spending time with his family, friends, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 26, 2018, 11:00 a.m., in the Cougar Lane building, 4825 West 7000 South, West Jordan, with a viewing prior to services from 9-10:45 a.m. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery.
