Richard Dick Lambert #1 Sports Fan Richard George Lambert age 83, passed away at home surrounded by his family on May 30, 2012. He battled cancer with faith and courage that amazed those that cared for him. He was born March 8, 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Clarence and Alice Hathaway Lambert at home. He graduated from Tooele High School. Worked at Tooele Ordinance and also served in the Coast Guard Reserves where he sailed on a clipper ship before being drafted into the Army with the 40th Division 2nd Battalion in Korea. He won Utah s first Match Play Bowling championship in 1954. He married the love of his life, Vivian Reed in Spanish Fork, Utah November 20, 1953, later they were married in the Salt Lake City Temple. He was a devoted Husband for 58 years and also the loving Father of 6 children; 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He loved his family very much and he supported all of us in everything we were involved with. He was our coach, spectator and biggest cheerleader for 3 generations that played baseball, football, basketball and soccer. Survived by his lovely wife Vivian; children: Randy (Connie), Ricky (Kelly), Reed, Rob (Shannon), Venetia (Mike) Frandsen; grandchildren: Jamie (Alex) Salazar, Jeremy (Staci), Christopher, Tyler, LaShelle, Rickilynn, Shelbee, Matthew, Mercedes, Austin Frandsen, Savanah Frandsen, Siarra Frandsen; great grandchildren: Kadisen Salazar, Keaten Salazar, Kynley Salazar, Sydney, JR, Daniela and David. Preceded in death by daughter Sherieve Sue. Special Thanks to Lori with Curo Hospice and Dr. Harker, Rick and the entire staff at Utah Cancer Specialists for their loving care and keeping Dad with his favorite supply of Tootsie Pops.
