Richard Herbert Goms, Jr. 1949-2023

Richard was born in Gary, Indiana, on January 23, 1949, to Richard Herbert Goms, Sr and Dorothy Elizabeth Shuler. He had one sibling, his sister Wendy Catherine Goms (1951-1978). He was a good man with a big heart. He loved the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and did his best to live that gospel each day. He worked in the temple with his wife for many years. He was a computer programmer, but his true passion was family history. He was a genealogist, as well as a published author and writer and amateur historian. He loved his family with all his heart. Richard is survived by his wife, Ann Marie Goms, 5 stepchildren, 6 children, 30 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. The family has chosen a private service.
