Robert was a life-long faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a two-year mission for the church in California from 1968 to 1970. He held numerous callings over the years and particularly loved working with genealogy.

He attained his associates degree from Rick's College as an Electronic Technician and worked for a number of years in this field. He loved all things related to technology and was always eager to get the newest gadget.

He married the love of his life - Marilyn Record on March 14, 1973 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together, they welcomed four children and later four daughter-in-laws and nine grandchildren. Spending time in any capacity with his family made him happiest.

He also loved working with and serving in various capacities for the Boy Scouts of America. Here he continued his love of the outdoors and refined his amazing dutch oven cooking skills.

He was also an avid BYU fan who rarely missed the opportunity to watch or listen to a game - particularly football. This was a source of both great joy and sadness for him depending on the season they were having.
