Robert "Bob" Wayne Eaby

Robert "Bob" Eaby peacefully passed away in the early morning of May 2, 2017. He was born January 14, 1928 in Salt Lake City to Frank L. Eaby and Pearl Foote. Bob married Joann Gourdin in 1955 and was blessed with one son, Danny. They were later divorced. In the summer of 1959, Bob met Trudy Sullivan and her daughters Terrie and Kathie. They were later married on Christmas Eve, 1959, and were blessed with a son, Jeff and a daughter Peggy. Trudy unexpectedly passed away on May 14, 1969. In 1974, he married Norma Stauffer. They were later divorced, but remained friends and traveling companions throughout the years. Bob was employed for many years and retired from GMC. Bob loved to camp and enjoyed reading immensely, and was very knowledgeable on current and past events. His talent as a square dancer was "second to none". He was also a dedicated Election Judge for 30 years. Bob is survived by his sons, Danny (Robbie) Eaby, Jeff Eaby; daughter Peggy Eaby; step-daughters Terrie Dority (Mike) all SLC, Kathie Fletcher (Keith), Douglas, Wyoming; several grandchildren; nieces; and nephews. Preceded in death by parents; wife Trudy; and four brothers. A viewing will be held Friday, May 5, 2017, 11-12:00 noon, at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. Graveside services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Salt Lake City Cemetery. The location of the grave inside the cemetery is 1000 East 445 North.
