Robert Butterfield

Robert Butterfield, born July 16, 1933 to George Jefferson Butterfield and Edna Marie Naylor Butterfield, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2018. He was a Navy man and served his country faithfully during the Korean Conflict. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He married his sweetheart Reah Jean Davis Butterfield on April 27, 1956 in the Salt Lake Temple. They were blessed with 7 wonderful children. Jackie Winkel (Robert), Sherrie Lamb, LaMonte Butterfield (Janeall), Catherine Whiteman (Chester), Warren Butterfield (Joette), Ronald Butterfield (Nikki), and Maureen Witmer. He leaves behind 20 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren with 3 on the way. He is survived by his wife of 62 years; 6 children; brothers Verl and Herschel Butterfield; and sister Lola Llewellyn. He was preceded in death by his son Warren; grandson Baby Whiteman; and his great-granddaughter Paige. They were a tremendous loss to him. Preceded in death by his brothers James, Don, Ervin and Hyrum; and his sister Edna Mae. A viewing will be held Thursday, September 13, 2018 from 6-8 PM at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road Taylorsville Utah. A viewing will also be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 from 10:00 to 10:45 AM at the Kearns 4th Ward Building at 4232 West 5015 South Kearns, Utah with funeral services following at 11:00 AM.
