Robert Earl Jones

Robert E. Jones 1933 ~ 2012 Robert Earl Jones, of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away April 8, 2012 from complications of open heart surgery with his family by his side. Robert Bob was born October 19, 1933 in Cincinnati, Ohio to William R. and Frances L Davidson Jones. Bob was educated in Cincinnati and a graduate of Withrow High School. He then entered the US Air Force where he served honorably in the Special Forces during the Korean Conflict. After returning home, he continued his education at New York University graduating with a masters degree in finance. He was employed at General Electric of Cincinnati for many years and completed his career in San Ramon, CA as Financial Administrator of Providence Hospital in Oakland, CA. He is preceded in death by his father, William in 1958; mother, Frances in 1994; his first wife, Perdita Lynem Jones in 1979; his second wife, Patricia Mulgrew Jones in 2002; grandson, Jordan DeBacco (Danville) in 2000; brothers: Anthony and Veron Jones; and his only beloved sister, Edith Jones Benna. Robert is survived by his 5 children: Denise (Michael) Irving, Chatsworth, CA; Michael S. (Dawn) Jones, Salt Lake City, UT; Robyn Jones (Peter) Watkins, West Palm Beach, FL; Maureen (Randy) DeBacco, San Ramon, CA; Mark (Donna) DeBacco, Castlerock, CO; 9 grandchildren: Skyler Barnett, Justin Jones, Christopher Beck, Keitra Howard, Michael Irving III, Joshua Lantsberger, Shawnie Isaac, Cameron Isaac, Ashton DeBacco; 2 great-grandchildren: Oakley Frei, Jaxon Barnett; brother, William Jones, New Jersey; and a host of nieces and nephews. Bob will forever be remembered and cherished by his family and friends. Gone but never forgotten. A wonderful husband, father and grandfather. May God keep him in His loving grace.
