Robert Victor Edvik

Bob was born June 16, 1931 in Bingham Canyon, UT to Karl V. and Irene Edvik. He passed away April 11, 2019 at the Salt Lake Veterans Nursing Home. Married Phyllis Sanderson, June 19, 1953 in Bingham Canyon; later solemnized in the Jordan River Temple. Graduated from Bingham High School in 1950. He proudly served as a US Marine in the Korean War. He worked at Varian Associates for 29 years.

Survived by his children Vicky (Richard) Anderson, Jeff (Becky) Edvik, and Clark Edvik (Patrick); 11 grandchildren (one grandson serving with the Army National Guard in Afghanistan); and 14 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his sweetheart, Phyllis; and son John.

Funeral services will be held, Friday, April 19, 2019, 11:00 a.m., at Kearns 5th Ward, 4232 West 5015 South. Viewings will be held Thursday, April 18th, 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and again prior to services at the church from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
