Robert Kent Forman

Robert Kent Forman 1933 2014 Robert Kent Forman was born December 13, 1933 to James A. & Mary Forman in Murray, UT. Bob attended South High School where he was a member of the swimming club, ROTC Drill Team, and State Championship Track team. At BYU, he studied Electronics Engineering, and always loved BYU sports. He served in the military in Germany working with radar and computers. He married his sweetheart, Carolyn Kruse, on Nov 21, 1958 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They built their home in Taylorsville where they lived together for 55 years. He served faithfully in many callings throughout his life as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Bob was a beloved friend and neighbor as he always helped anyone in need. As an engineer specializing in robotics and wireless guidance systems, he was listed as an inventor on two US Patents. He was a talented handyman and auto mechanic with an uncanny ability to repair most anything. He enjoyed spending time with his family, boating, waterskiing, hunting & camping; also cars, computers, photography, family history, and building & flying model airplanes. On August 13, 2014, his parents along with his brother and sister, Jim & Bonnie, welcomed him to his Heavenly home. He will be greatly missed by his wife Carolyn, and children, Glen & Cindy Forman (CA), Dian Forman, Lauri & Robyn Clontz, Jodi & Flynn Todd, Cheri & Ron Zander, Kent & Haley Forman and Janae & Brian Gardner (WA); his sister, Margie (Jerry) Burdick, and brothers, Clark (Sandy) Forman, Dann (Valerie) Forman, Mike (Sandi) Forman, and Carl (Nancy) Forman; 18 Grandchildren and 18 Great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, Aug 18, 2014 at 11:00 am, LDS Chapel 1555 Lovely Road, (5095 South) Taylorsville, UT. Viewing will be held Sunday, Aug 17, 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service on Monday at the Chapel.
