Robert W. Bob Timmons 1946 ~ 2012 The quintessential quiet man, passed away peacefully in his sleep June 22, 2012. Robert Wayne Timmons was born on September 5, 1946 in Rupert, Idaho to James William and Elma May Larsen Timmons. He moved to Salt Lake City at the age of 8 with his family. He attended school in Salt Lake City graduating from West High School in 1964. He served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1966-1968 at Fort Bliss, TX. He married Sharon Ruth Storm April 6, 1968 in El Paso, TX. Together they moved to Salt Lake City and started their family. They had four children. He worked his entire career as a journeyman machinist retiring in 2006. He loved to bowl, golf, fish, hunt and spend time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed watching sports especially the Jazz; watching Westerns, Gunsmoke being his favorite and the KSL news. He was always willing to help anyone in need. He was a member of the LDS church. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; children: Robert Wayne II; Kimberly (Chris) Garrett, Tahne Storm and 6 grandchildren He is also survived by mother-in-law Betty Storm. ; sister-in-laws: Karma McPhie Timmons; Starla Bowles Timmons, several nieces, nephews and Adopted children. His beloved dogs, Liberty and Independence. Preceded in death by his son Richard Garrison, parents; brothers:, Jack, Jim , Ron and his father-in-law Clyde Stormy Storm. Bob completed this worlds round of golf well under par. Our family offers a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Lara Hardman and Lillian. The Staff at C.N.S. Hospice: Kathy, Michelle and especially Mike for their loving care and service they offered Bob. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Bob s name to CNS Hospice or Primary Children s Hospital. Graveside services will be held Monday June 25, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at Salt Lake City Cemetery. Per Bob s request, casual dress please. Arrangements under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home.
