Robert Blaine Young passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on November 6th, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.
Our father, husband, grandfather, brother, and uncle. But to most he was our best friend. He was a kind and understanding man, who was loved and cherished by many.
Blaine was born in August 1946 to Roy and Grace Young. He grew up in a loving, caring home with many siblings that he remained very close to.
Blaine became a Marine in 1966 and served in the Vietnam War. He received two Purple Hearts, and the Vietnamese Congressional Medal of Honor from the Vietnam President in regards to his service. He loved being a Marine and was always proud to be a Marine.
He enjoyed being with his friends and family more than anything. He was not only a loving and kind father, but he was also our best friend. He was one who listened and understood, the true meaning of unconditional love. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Our father and our grandfather is now at peace and resting beside his true love, his wife, Linda. They are together and starting their new adventure. A private graveside service will be held at the Francis Cemetery in Francis, Utah. He will be buried with military honors.
He is survived by his sisters: Elaine, Kay and Denise; son, Brad (Angie); daughters, Sandra (Troy), Sharon (Chris); and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Grace Young; brothers, Roy, Steve and Lynn Young; and his wife, Linda Young.
