On Saturday, December 29, 2018, Roberta Mae Roberts Mahin, our loving mother, passed away after battling a long illness. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri on April 25, 1934. She moved to Utah in 1961 with her family and there, she raised three daughters while attending the University of Utah where she earned a Master’s degree in Social Work.
Roberta (Bobbie) was preceded in death by her father Oren; her mother Nedetta; and her stepfather and friend, Hal. She was previously married to Harley Casper & Charles Mahin. She spent many years with her close companion, Fred Civish. Bobbie is survived by her three children, Keri, Kim (Bob) and Kristi (Mike). She has seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Bobbie was a fascinating woman with a captivating and engaging personality. Often she would strike up a conversation with complete strangers and always had a joke to tell. She always saw the good in people. Bobbie felt strongly about her civic responsibility and had many letters published in local newspapers.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019, 1:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah.
Also, her family would like to invite her friends to a celebration of her life on Saturday, January 26, 2019, 3:00-6:00 p.m. at her home, 1443 N. Cold Water Way, Ogden, Utah.
We see you in the sun that shines and the breeze that blows. God has you in his keeping, we have you in our hearts.
