He was born June 5, 1952 in Hawthorne, California to Leonard J. and Lola B. Elder. With a gift of gab, honesty and integrity everyone who ever met him, loved him. Ron was the consummate salesman and throughout his lifetime made life-long friends in the sales industry. With his sparkling eyes and dimples, coupled with his life long experience made him very successful. Ron loved to travel and the outdoors; he loved fishing, hunting and camping, particularly the annual Family Reunions where he could reunite with all the aunts, uncles and cousins he only saw once a year. Ron also loved movies, music, cooking and reading; was an avid film watcher, concert attendee, tried his hand at a novel or two, and had often talked about opening a restaurant with his sons during his retirement.
