Ronald Dickinson

Ronald Dickinson, age 82, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2022 after fighting a long battle of cancer.

Ron loved life and lived it to the fullest with a personality bigger than life. To meet Ron was to love Ron and he was loved by so many people. His passion was his racing as a member of the Salt Lake Valley Racing Association. Ron raced cars for 20 years battling on the race track with his brother Keith and winning championships here in Salt Lake City, Boise, Idaho and Pocatello, Idaho. Ron loved spending time with his friends and family and despite his challenge with MS, Ron didn't let that stop him while he continued on with boating, water skiing, playing horse shoes, bowling and any other challenges he faced.

Ronald was born in Panguitch, Utah, April 26, 1940, to James Dickinson and Mary Dickinson. Ronald married Jeniene Dickinson of Salt Lake City, Utah on October 11, 1957 in Salt Lake City.

He was preceded in death by James Dickinson, father; Mary Dickinson, mother; sisters, LaVell Jensen, Twila Kern and Barbra Shroufe; brothers, Howard Dickinson and Keith Dickinson.

He is survived by his wife Jeniene Dickinson; daughters Kathy Black, Wendy McDonnell (Mike Mitchel); granddaughter Jessi Marie Jamison; great-grandsons Mason Mclachlan, Austin Mclachlan, Travis Bishop Jr (TJ); sisters Lola Sedgwick, Jerri Jenkins; and brother Ross Dickinson.

Services for Ronald Dickinson will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, 11:00 AM at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah, where viewings will also be held Monday, November 21st, 6-8:00 p.m. and prior to services on Tuesday from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah.
